Dr. Shannon Findley has been a veterinarian with Bend Equine Medical Center for over a decade and is now a partner in the practice. She has been the primary veterinarian for EOI since 2019 and a member of the board since 2021. She has extensive experience, interest and passion in rescue, sanctuary and geriatric medicine. Dr. Findley’s personal passion also lies with international volunteer work having traveled to 6 countries to provide veterinary services to horses living in underserved areas of the world.

Her interest in becoming a board member for EOI started when she wanted to be able to help guide and advise a rescue organization to proper horse husbandry and best practice decision making. Dr. Findley has created and provided medical decision-making trees for the organization that has helped guide the organization towards logical, compassionate and medically educated pathways for making decisions for our herd. She is also the liaison between the leadership and the volunteers on understanding our herd’s veterinary needs and health conditions.
