Horse Care Clinics
We have a couple of upcoming events at the ranch scheduled for the first half of 2022 to offer and share information with the public about caring for horses. Specifically, senior horses and ones from traumatic backgrounds. If you'd like to get information when these are scheduled, contact us to be put on our email list.
Memory Care Outreach
Once the pandemic is over, we will resume having the lovely folks from Mt. Bachelor Memory Care come out to visit the herd. It is both heartwarming and therapeutic for all involved. The guests get to reminisce about horses and other pets, enjoy a feeling of accomplishment when they groom the horses, and feel the healing benefits that come from interacting with them. Everyone enjoys the unconditional appreciation and stories while also sharing tea and snacks.
Youth Groups
These young cadets from the Army National Guard Youth Challenge Corps are the essence of what "service learning" should be. They are regular volunteers at the ranch, connecting with the herd as they muck, clean every water trough, lay out fresh bedding and help build a new evacuation road. Thank you for your service. We welcome other youth groups to get involved too!
