We Rescue and Rehabilitate Equines in Need

HELP US MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR MORE UNWANTED HORSES & MULES

At Equine Outreach Horse Rescue, we believe that every horse deserves respect, dignity, love, and compassionate care. Based in Bend, OR, we accept as many abused, neglected, medically compromised, senior, and abandoned equines as possible every year. From there, we focus on providing top-grade medical care, rehabilitation, positive training, and all the love, hugs, and TLC we can give. Some horses become sanctuary horses or hospice horses who remain in our care, while others are carefully and meticulously adopted out to new homes.

Support Jerry Garcia

Jerry is a blind horse who is being returned to us. He is 24 years old and was adopted out five years ago, and he will be re-joining our herd in a few weeks. Jerry was originally rescued from the Warm Springs Reservation in 2010 with 100+ other horses. He was once wild and untouchable, but now is cooperative once he knows you’re there and can follow some verbal cues. Each horse we take in costs $4,000-$5,000 a year to care for, so please help support Jerry and his special needs at Equine Outreach where we will welcome him back with open arms and open hearts.
