ABOUT EQUINE OUTREACH
We Rescue and Rehabilitate Horses in Need
HELP US MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR MORE ABUSED AND NEGLECTED HORSES
At Equine Outreach, we believe that every horse deserves respect, dignity, love, and compassionate care. Based in Bend, OR, we accept as many abused, neglected, medically compromised, senior, and abandoned equines as possible every year. From there, we focus on providing top-grade medical care, rehabilitation, positive training, and all the love, hugs, and TLC we can give. Some horses become sanctuary horses or hospice horses who remain in our care, while others are carefully and meticulously adopted out to new homes.
Corporate Sponsor Opportunities
We are now accepting new sponsors for some of our horses. Get your company/organization affiliated with the good work we do for abused, neglected, or abandoned horses. Your name/logo will be featured on our website, social media, 2022 shirts, and in the media. Click here for more details on becoming a Horse Hero!
Horse of the Week: Abby
Abby is a spirited ten year old Mustang mare who has been with us for 6 months. She is training with our professional trainer, Katie Dixon (Renegade Equine) and the volunteer trainers at the rescue. She was under saddle before coming to us and is making great progress remembering all that she once knew. Abby would love an intermediate rider or a beginner with access to a gentle professional trainer. She will bond and be a loyal friend to her forever mom or dad.
Want to Volunteer?
Great! We always need more Herd Helpers. Our volunteers are a dedicated group who help care for the horses by mucking, filling and cleaning water troughs, feeding, grooming, and other tasks around the ranch. If you have the time and want to get involved as a regular volunteer, our next volunteer orientation is October 23 at 10am.
